Siliong – Perhaps the most important aspect of conversion optimization.

One of the many aspects of being a web developer is the design process. Designing is quite different than developing are creating a website. Design requires understanding of conversion optimization.

Creating a pretty website is a nice skill or talent. Frankly, it’s not my forte. Sure, I can create a pretty good looking site based on a WP template – or even hardcoded HTML. But not super high-end. Not with flash, and not anything super fancy.

However, that’s not what I’m here for. I am here to create a website that gets results I am here to optimize conversions. Whether the desired result is an application, a sale, a call, or a completed contact form, it is all considered a type of conversion.

The most important thing to remember developing a conversion optimized website or webpage is giving the user exactly what they think they are getting.

From a user standpoint, they’re going to search Google looking for the perfect widget or thingamajig. When they find that perfect thingamajig on Google, they’ll click the link through. Now they’ve come to your site. Do you actually have that thingamajig directly available in front of them to purchase? If so, your conversion will be outstanding. However, if your website is not properly optimized, the user may not find their thingamajig immediately and may decide to use their BACK BUTTON and go to another website.
